On Thursday 23 April we held our Annual General Meeting at the Leeds Marriott Hotel.
It was a chance to bring everyone together, from our directors to our members, to share how we’re doing financially, talk about our strategy and update you, our members, on our progress.
During the AGM, you could also vote on key decisions affecting how we’re run – such as who gets elected to our Board.
Thanks to everyone who voted online, in branch, by post or at the event.
You vote, we donate
Voting in your AGM helped others too.
That’s because for every vote we got, we donated 30p to your choice of either our charity partner Barnardo’s1 or the Leeds Building Society Foundation2.
How much did the AGM raise for charity?
Your votes raised a total of £20,557.50 to help these two charities carry on their great work.
£11,423.70 was donated to Barnardo’s and £9,133.80 to the Foundation.
That’s what being part of a mutual is all about.
